米ヒップホップのメイン・リスナーの中では、88~89年のパブリック・エネミーはもはや忘れられつつあります。ひょっとして、95~96年のブッダ・ブランドも、同じように今の日本のヒップホップを聴いてる人たちにはなじみの薄いものとなりつつあるのではないでしょうか。だとしたら、なんともったいない。

アメリカ帰りのキャラ濃い日本人ラッパー3人が作り上げた前人未到の日本語ラップ世界。せっかく日本語でやってるのに英語が混じり過ぎ、と当時思ったものですが、ここに入ってる曲の中で忘れられないのは、あまりに極端で過剰で(絶対親と一緒には聴けない)パンチラインばかりです。具体的に挙げたいけど、レビューガイドラインに引っかかりそうなので…。最近、猫も杓子も使う「こいつらヤバい」とは、この人たちのためにあるような表現です。トラックは、ジャズ、ソウルからのサンプリングをメインとしたメロウなもの(今の流行からはずれてるかも)
ですが、日本のヒップホップ好きで聴いたことない人は、踏み絵としてトライすべし。ダボ、スイケンなど、ニトロ軍団が好きならなおのこと。ILLでいる秘訣知ってる3本マイクの技に、ヤラれちまってください。

ブッダの代表作。トラック、フロウとともに最高。ベストもでてるが個人的にはオリジナルをおすすめする。

日本語ＲＡＰをＪ−ＲＡＰと一緒にしてるそこのヘッズ達への、ブッダからの解説書。ＨＩＰＨＯＰを『学ぶ』より、日本語ＲＡＰを学びたい方にお薦め。緑の５本指、ヤバスギルスキル。コンちゃんの仕事はお見事ｗ
