3.0 out of 5 stars 英国正統派ヘビーメタルバンドのデビュー作, 2005/11/28
ツインギターと専任キーボードを擁する6人編成。メンバーのルックスから想像されるようなソフトなロックではなく、エッジの効いたギターリフや華麗なソロが活躍する楽曲がならびます。”ヘビーメタルバンド”と呼んで、まったく差し支えないと思います。

デビュー作ということですが、メンバーはそれほど若いわけではなく、これまでのキャリアはそれぞれあると思われます（調べてません。すみません）。というわけで、新人とは思えない、堂に入ったサウンドが楽しめます。とくに楽曲を包むキーボードがいい仕事をしていると思います。

ただし、ボーカルはキツイです。今は同バンドでベースを担当しているようですが、是非最初からそうして欲しかった。あえて例えるとゲーリー・○ーデンのような、きわめて不安定な節回しのこの人を、そもそもなぜ歌わせたのかが疑問です。ちなみに次作からは、アメリカ人シンガーのランス・キングが歌っており、この大きな欠点は改善されています。
