２２年前に旅先で出逢った人と恋に。千葉と京都の遠距離恋愛。私は学生の身で月に１度京都へ行きました。TVのシンデレラエクスプレスよりも前です。帰りの新幹線ホーム辛かったです。つぎはいつ逢えるのだろう・・・。この頃に彼女にプレゼントしたアルバムがエア・サプライなのです。二人して聴きました。彼女とは結婚できませんでしたが、今でも忘れられません。

９０年代以降のエア・サプライの作品をほとんど聴いてないので何とも言えませんが、少なくともデビュー~８０年代の彼らの作品群の中では最高傑作の１つに挙げていい作品だと思います。勿論、ステ曲などなく、アルバム全体を通してエア・サプライの魅力を存分に味わえます。

裏ジャケのメンバーの写真を見ると、背丈もファッションも、てんでバラバラのオニイサン達ですが、それも今では魅力に思えてきます。このメンバーのままで続けて欲しかったです。　　　　　　　　　　　　　
エア・サプライというと、どうしても夏のイメージで語られてしまいますが、どうか「夏」というイメージにとらわれずに聴いて欲しいです。

買って損は絶対ないと思いますよ。
