クリス・スペディング・・・ニュークリアスらのジャズ・ロック、アンディ・フレイザーとのシャークス、セックスピストルズとの関わり・・と名前だけでは実体が掴み難い人。ポリスのアンディ・サマーズと何となくかぶる人。そんなイメージがあるんだけど、この人の純粋な音楽性はこのアルバムを聞けば良く分かると思う。５０年代風のポップスやロックがそのまま詰まったこのアルバム。１．はそのままバディ・ホリーで、４．はどことなくポール・ベヴォワを彷佛とさせます。ゆったりとしたロカビリーやロックンロールが次々と出て来て本当に楽しいのですが、一番おもしろいのは、チャック・ベリーやジミ・ヘンドリックス・・・などたくさんのギタリスト(風)のフレーズが出てくる５．でしょう。６．のイントロはピストルズで聞いたことがあるぞ・・・。どちらかと言うとパブ・ロック的な音を好む人には特にお薦めですが、クリスに興味のある人はまずこのアルバムでしょう。

１９７７年リリース。超絶技巧ＪＡＺＺＲＯＣＫ＆ロックンロール＆ロカビリーギタリスト（笑）：クリススペディングのご機嫌なけだるいロックンロールアルバム・・・このジャケットセンス、惚れ惚れしますね。（次作では硬派な革ジャン！）ほとんどが２分台という内容で、アアッという間に聴き終えてしまいます。このアルバムのポイントはなんと言っても迷曲「ギタージャンボリー」一発です！！学生時代に友人からこの曲の存在を知り、彼にはまってしまいました。チャックベリー・ジミヘン・ジャックブルース・ピートタウンゼント・キースリチャーズ・ジョージハリスン・エリッククラプトン・ジミーペイジ・ジェフベック・ポールコゾフ・レズリーウエスト・デイヴギルモアの得意フレーズが少しずつ飛び出します・・・ポールコゾフは、特にも笑い吹き出します！！普通の人がやるとつまらない（笑）ラスト１１曲目「ブギーシティ」での素朴なカッコよさが、本当魅力的なギタリストです。このフォーマットは、オリジナルに３曲のボーナストラックがついています。次作「ＨＵＲＴ」とセットで押さえておきたいですね。
