　超名曲"I WANNA GO WHERE THE PEOPLE GO"で幕を開ける、３ｒｄ（？）アルバム。1曲目から6曲目の"JONESING FOR JONES"まで、曲間がつながっているような、ジンジャーお得意の作りになっています。BABY STORANGE→NITA NITROは最強のつながりですね。
　7曲目以降はちょっとダークな曲も入っていて、今までのアルバムとはちょっと毛色が違う感じです。9曲目の"CAPRICE"は、後のライブの定番曲（個人的にはライブ向けの曲ではないと思うが・・・）。

　前作"Earth VS WiLDHEARTS"と比べてしまうと、後半ややダレますが、なんにしても最高のバンドには違いありません。

バンド史上最高傑作の誉れ高い、まさに名作。

1stアルバムにはなかった、様式美メタルやインダストリアルチューンなどが聴かれる上に、"一撃必殺"的な名曲も数多し。
ライブでお決まりのナンバーがこのアルバムから数多く生まれている。

なぜかいつもHR/HM系にカテゴライズされる事の多いバンドだが、もはやジャンル識別不能・不要。
"BEATLES meets METALLICA"の形容詞で呼ばれ始めたのも、たしかこの頃。実際#8での歌声はMETALLICAのJamesに驚くほどよく似ているし、#5でのメロディのポップさは初期のBEATLESばり。
※後にジンジャーは、曲間にそれぞれインストゥメンタルを挿入し、途切れのないアルバムにしたかったが、某レコード会社とのゴタゴタでそれが不可能になってしまったとのコメントを残している。

このアルバムを引っさげた初来日ツアーにおいて、日本のファンの熱狂ぶりが彼らを(１度目の)解散の危機から救ったのは有名な話。
アンドリューＷ・Ｋなど、"パーティロック"と呼ばれる音楽が好きな人は是非聴いてみて欲しい。もちろんそれだけで収まるバンドではないが…

当時ナーバナを筆頭にパールジャム等グランジ/オルタネイティブがブイブイいっている時に、ウジウジしていた僕の心を一発でスカッ！とさせてくれた作品。間違いなく怒名作。「俺が聴きたいロックを誰もやらんから、俺がするわ！」と咆えた愛すべき憎まれっ子ジンジャーがコンポーザー＆ボーカリストとしての才能をいかんなく発揮し、そこに存在するものはアンチポップの音肖像…。ひねくれながらもメロディアスで心打たれる歌詞、素晴らしきフックのオンパレード。今なお色あせない輝きを放っている。「ビートルズミーツメタリカ」の比喩表現を見事に昇華させた歴史的怒名盤。ワイルドハーツは地球に勝利した！！
