リリースからすでに25年以上たっているのに、私のフェイバリットアルバム10の中に確実に、しかもかなり高い順位で入ってくるアルバム。このレコードが出た直後にレコードで購入。 確か1980年ごろのリリースだったと思う。87という数字はその80年からの近未来。とっくにそれは過去の数字になっているが、音楽自体は色あせない。人が確かにそこにいるのにいないような、静謐さ。北欧の家具のような清潔なクールさ。その合間をテリー・ボジオの熱いフィルが走る。また中身とジャケットのイメージがこんなにぴったりなのはそうはないだろう。本当はこのジャケットはアナログの大きさじゃないとね＾＾。ちなみにメンバーはマーク・アイシャム、ピーター・マウヌウ、パトリック・オハーン。ゲストにテリー・ボジオとピーター・ウルフ（J・ガイルスの人ではないので念のため）。それぞれがソロプロジェクトのリーダーを努めることの出来る人たちが丹念に作りあげた名盤。

この作品に出会ってから22年程経てしまいました。以前、中古盤店を自分なりに探し回ったのですが2nd しかみつからず…　検索してよかった！当時、YMOブームの真只中、2曲目の『クロックワークス』はFM番組のテーマ曲にも使われていました。確かに、当時テクノ系の曲として扱われていたのも良くわかります。全編に漂う、高級感のあるシンセの音色。アラン・パーソンズもびびります。とにかくテリー・ボジオ先生のドラムがカッコイイ！マーク・アイシャム・ファン、テリー・ボジオ・ファン必携盤！これぞ歴史的な本当の隠れた名盤です。

ときどき、なぜか思い出してしまうレコードがあるとしたら私にとっては、このレコードです。
フュージョン系のレコードをよく探しに行っていてレコードジャケットに妙に心引かれて購入したのですが、聞いてみて衝撃を受けました。
とくに「美しいネコのように」のしなやかで怪しく（？）、透明感のあるイメージは、絶品でそこにネコがいるようでした。

最近は、アナログレコードを聞く機会が無かったのでふとCDが出ていないかなと検索したら有りました。即購入決定です。
