このボックスセットはアマゾンで初めて知って買いましたが、
年来のＳＲＶファンとしては、実に嬉しいものでした。
ＤＶＤで彼の演奏場面が見られるのも楽しいし、数々のアウトテイクを
聞けるのもこうしたボックスセットならではの喜びですね。

ＳＲＶが好きな人にはもう勧めるまでもないのですが、
彼のギターはほんと他のブルースギタリストとは一味もふた味も
違っていて、それがなんともいえず、私は耳ではなく背骨に響いてきます。

ＳＲＶを始めて聞く方には、なかなか勧めにくい値段だとは思いますが、
試聴もついていることだし、それを聞いて、「これはすごい」、と思われたら、
買ってみてきっと損しない内容だと思います。

ぼくのお目当ては、Unpluggedでした。Disk3の、Rude Mood、Pride and Joy、Testifyと続く３曲はMTV Unpluggedのものですが、Pride and Joyは、多数のアーティストのUnpluggedを集めたCDにも収められているので耳にしたことがある人も多いでしょうが、３曲いっきに聞くとシビれます。しかしこの３曲を待って聴いていたその前にDirty Poolの弾き語りが、、、これがまた渋い。もちろんライブでガンガン演るやつもいいですが、Unpluggedのstevie rayもいい。やっぱ、すごい！

ＣＤ３枚＋ＤＶＤ１枚の４枚組ボックス・セット。一言で言えばアンソロジ-ですが、デビュ-前の音源から生前最後のコンサ-トまでを丁寧に編集してあるのでファンなら納得の逸品です。初心者マ-クの方にも映像が付いているのでオススメします。唯一の欠点は国内盤が発売されていないので解説が読めないことくらいですよ！（怒）でも、音に問題はないし最高に楽しめる内容です！！
