前作以来1年9ヵ月ぶりとなる美樹ちゃんのニュー・アルバムは、真夏の浜辺で、プール・サイドで、気楽に聴きたい良質のポップ・アルバムだ。プロデュースと全作曲はもちろん布袋寅泰。随所にイカしたギター・フレーズをちりばめながら、いつもながらの引き出しの多さで、「Goodbye Yesterday」のようなバラードからジャジィな「LONELY」、8ビートの「ふたり」など、歌い手のさまざまな表情を引き出すことに成功している。個人的には、2ステップっぽいリズムが新鮮な「Close Your Eyes」がいちばん好きかな。ひたすらロマンティックな布袋プロデューサーと、どこかにクールな視点を残した美樹ちゃん本人という、それぞれの書く歌詞のムードの違いがしっかり聴きとれるのも楽しい。ところで、このアルバムを布袋の作品として聴くのも一つの聴き方だと思うが、実際のところ、アーティストとしての彼のファンにはこの音楽はどう聴こえるのだろうか。 (星野吉男) --- 2000年09月号

曲想は2000年のまさにITバブルを思わせる、布袋お得意のぶちこみサウンド。コンピュータがあれば誰でも曲作りが出来る、というのは大きな誤解でもあるが、今井がそれに乗せられたかたちになっている。オリジナルアルバムとしては、数年来のなかで段違いの出来の悪さです。

フロリダ半島南端から島づたいに伸びる線路の終点がキーウェストだ。作家アーネスト・ヘミングウェイの終生暮らした家がここにあり、指4本の猫の楽園でもある。また米大統領人気第3位のハリー・トルーマンの憩いの地でもあった。さて、このCDを聞いて現地で憩えるだろうか。答はNo、だ。

3.0 out of 5 stars 良くも悪くも、夫布袋氏の影響が良く出たアルバム, 2003/1/21
タイトル曲を含めシングルカットされた曲にはメロディラインなどずべてに布袋氏の影響を強く感じます（悪い意味ではなく）。個人的には、最後の「スリープマイディア」がアルバム一の名曲だと思っています。このメロディ、歌詞の全てが今井美樹の魅力をもってして歌われて初めて感動できる曲だと思います。今この曲を歌って同じように聴く者の胸に響かせることができる人が一体何人いるかと思います（上手いヘタではなく）。正直、全曲が傑作だとは思いませんが、今井美樹の歌に好意的な方であれば、聴く価値は高い１枚だと思います。
