ムーディー・マンと並んで、現在デトロイト・テクノの新世代アーティストとして注目されている(らしい)シカゴ育ちの29歳が、この人。シンプルな音ネタが反復されるミニマルなトラックから、初期デトロイト・テクノやシカゴ・ハウスを彷佛とさせるフワ~ッとした歌ものまで、シリアスなテクノ・ファンにはたまらないものがあるはず。デトロイト・テクノやシカゴ・ハウスを消化し、お行儀の良いファンキーなグルーヴに仕立てているという点では、かなりの優等生といえそうだ。

ある人曰く、このCDはクレージーだそうだ。そう？そう思えなくもないが、流れるような旋律と独特なリズムは、とってもロマンティックだし、たとえるならアメリカンサイズのハンバーガーとマロングラッセが出会っちゃったような組み合わせ。力強さと繊細さが入り乱れてトータルで考えたら夢心地になれる。そんなFirst Floor。
