ペイン・オブ・サルヴェイションの曲を聴いたのはこの作品が初めてでしたが、この作品は本当に捨て曲なしの名盤です。
ドリーム・シアターの様な、あらゆるテク二ックを駆使したプログレッシブ・メタルとは異なりますが、P.o.S.独自の素晴らしいメロディーセンスで構成された曲を聴く事ができ、感動の嵐に包まれます。
特に８曲目のキング・オブ・ロスで聴かれる美しいピアノとギター・ソロは必聴です。
このアルバムは、最初から最後まで何度も繰り返して聴いてみて下さい。
聴けば聴く程、この作品の素晴らしが実感できます。

音質もいいし、他のバンドでこういう音楽は聴けない
プログレッシブゴシックメタル(意味がわからないカテゴリだけど)
が好きならまず買うべき

このバンドは、テクニックは凄いけど曲はいまひとつな他のプログレメタル系のバンドと違って歌メロが非常に良い。

しかし、曲の構成はもっとスッキリ出来ないものか…。
せっかくエモーショナルで格好良い歌メロが生きない気がする。

曲が暗く、テーマも重いので、長いと聴き苦しいし…。


ミクスチャー的な曲やジャズ調な曲、ラテンな曲など色んな要素がごちゃ混ぜになっている様は、まるで日本のバンドのようだ。(あくまで例えです…)



でも結局、この手のバンドはDream Theater が一番かなと思ってみたり…((@@))
