映画のうたい文句では『けっして１人では見ないで下さい』と言う国内のスレーズでした。映画も怖さがありましたが。

何と言っても音楽です、恐怖注ぐサウンドがあってこそ映画の怖さが一段と倍増します、この音楽を作り出したイタリアのグループ「ゴブリン」あっての映画の大ヒットになったと言っても過言ではありません。

テーマ曲であるサスペリアは不思議なくらい恐怖感を抱きます。
音作りもワンスレーズ毎に細かくアレンジしています、真剣に取り組んでいる様子が伺えます。まさに恐怖映画サウンドの決定盤だと思います、更にはゾンビ(サントラ)も非常に優れた内容になっていますのでチェックして下さい。

　『サスペリア』は監督ダリオ・アルジェントとの協力関係が最も強く結ばれた作品だ。『サスペリア』の制作ではキース・エマーソンが使っていた特別製のムーグシンセサイザーをロンドンから取り寄せた。アルバム２曲目の「マルコス」では初めてコンピューターをシーケンサーとして使用。メロトロンと教会のオルガンの音を混ぜ合わせて効果をあげた。

　アルジェントは中世の魔術を思い起こさせるような曲を欲しがった。数週間の調査の末、プロモーターとしてチネボックスで働いていたアイリーン・マラテスタというギリシャ人の女性がほんの冗談でラテン語の詞の付けられた古代のメロディをゴブリンに送ってよこした。それは1500年から1600年の間に書かれたもので、「Le tre streghe sull'albero」（木の上の３人の魔女）と題されたものだった。それは、『サスペリア』の結末と偶然にも似たものだったため、ダリオ・アルジェントは強い感銘を受け、ゴブリンの書いた曲をすぐに採用した。
　『サスペリア』では３ヶ月間スタジオに入って、バズーキやタブラ、電子楽器、アコースティックギターなど、あらゆる楽器を使って実験した。

　『サスペリア』のサントラは撮影開始時にはすでに完成し、撮影は音楽をセットで流しながら行われた。役者たちの雰囲気を盛り上げるためにテープをバックで流したのである。ただし、映画の仕上げにあたっては、音楽を完全なものに差し替えたことはいうまでもない。当時、『サスペリア』のアルバムは40万枚程の売り上げとなった。

映画中の曲がすごくよかったので買いましたがCDだけでも怖いので部屋でひとりで聞く気分にはなりません。怖い曲聴きたい人にはぜひおすすめです。
