Album Details

UK remastered reissue of their second Acid Jazz LP from 1993 was 'A Concept Album' on which 'Corduroy Create High Havoc' on a mock-soundtrack. Echoes of Our Man Flint mix with Here We Go Round The Mulberry Bush to create a more unified sound than their debut - which also embraced lush, jazzy vocal tracks like the club hit single, 'Something In My Eye' (with shades of Sergio Mendes creeping into the mix). Includes new liner-notes from the band, rare sleeves, photo's, memorabilia & six bonus tracks, '10.28 From Shibuya' & five recorded live in Japan, 'High Havoc', 'The Frighteners', 'Something In My Eye', 'London England' & 'The Corduroy Orgasm Club'. 2001 release.

ジャズ、ファンク系でイギリス映画のサントラに使えそうな、意外と日本の刑事ものにも使えそうなアダルトなバックサウンド、イージーリスニング。サウンドメイクはかなりいいセンいってて、ボーカル曲が少ないけどなかなか引き付けるものがあります。演奏力はかなりあるんですが、玄人ごのみしそうなとっつきにくさが多少あるんで、映画サントラなら十分でしょうが・・ワールドワイドに売り出すなら、もうちと曲にフックがあってボーカルがないと辛い気がしますね。
　演奏とセンスがいいだけに、またアルバムごとに違ったジャンルをやれるくらい器用なのだから、いつの間にかいなくなっちゃうのだけは勘弁して下さいな。

アシッドジャズが流行っていたのは
今27歳の私が高校生のころ。
CORDUROYのこの「High　Havoc」は
当時のTOKIO　HOT　100を聞いていた人なら
懐かしいはず！！
音楽的にもぜんぜん古くない。
古いと感じる音楽って、音楽として駄目ですよね？
土曜、日曜の遅く起きて
昼ごはんを作るときや、掃除、布団を干すときなどなど

まったりした時間を過ごすときに聴くのがお勧めです！！
