レコードがレアで高くて一昔前に海賊盤が随分と出回ったのも、彼女がスパンキー&アワ・ギャングの「サンデー・モーニング」の作者だったから。しかも、クロディーヌ・ロンジェばりのファニーで幽玄的なウィスパリング・ヴォイス。ソフト・サイケ~フラワー・ポップのアンセムというだけで人気が留まらないのも、彼女がジャズ・ポップ・フィールドのデイヴ・フリッシュバーグなんかと繋がっていて、この68年のファーストにはジョン・サイモンがアレンジ参加してたりするところにある。さらには、クロディーヌやアストラッド・ジルベルト、レノン・シスターズ、セイント・エティエンヌなどが彼女の曲をとりあげてるではないか! そんなふうに注目が再び集まるなか、今回はデモと未発表計4曲のナイス・トラックがついてのリリース。なお、彼女が関わっているライナス・オブ・ハリウッドというグループの新作、これ、最近オシャレな外盤店でやたらと噂されている、とかなんとか。 (江藤美夜) --- 2000年07月号

必聴すべきロリータ・ハスキーボイス！この歌声だけでも十分満足。しかし楽曲がまた凄い。元々ジャズピアニストだったマーゴが、ビーチボーイズ『ペットサウンズ』と出会った事により覚醒。変拍子を多彩に使ったドラマティックな構成は唯一無二。
初めて聴けば度肝を抜かれる事間違いなしの名盤です。

1968年リリースの再発ＣＤ。
「ブライアン・ウィルソンがポップ・ソングの作り方を教えてくれたの」と語るマーゴ。
（実際に教えてもらったわけでなくレコードを通して）
そしてできた曲は非常に独創的。
個性的なメロディにジャズ、ボサノヴァ、サイケといろんな要素が繊細かつ複雑に組合わさって曲によって見せる表情が全く違う。
彼女のソフトなハスキーヴォイスがさらに独特のニュアンスを与ていて、その声の印象からフレンチっぽい雰囲気も漂う。
切ない恋心を綴った歌詞とジャケットがまた可愛らしくすばらしい。
