このバンドにとって、決定的な転機となった記念すべき3rd。当時これを聴いてとても驚き、同時に聴きまくったのを記憶している。楽曲がヘヴィメタル、特にツインギターを軸とした展開はIRON MEIDENあたりに通じる音楽性であり、メロディの扇情度も格段にアップしており、それでいてメタル的なカッコ良さも持ち合わせた非常に聴きやすいアルバム。またヴォーカルもデス声というよりは、ガナっている程度であり、多少メロディラインを意識して歌っている。もうメロデスとは呼べないであろう、この変化は驚愕、そして賞賛に値する。

センテンストが方向転換する前のメロデス時代の傑作!雄壮なメロディに彩られた世界・・・デス化したメイデン!?ウ゛ォーカルはただ唸るだけでなくメロディラインをなぞったりしている!センテンストの一つの頂点であり最後!

メロデス黎明期のアルバムとしては、最高の部類と思っています。
SENTENCED未体験の方にはこのアルバムか、THE COLD WHITE LIGHTのどちらか
をお勧め致します。

全体的には「激情に走ったIRON MEIDEN」という感じでしょうか。
悲壮感・絶望感がつまった楽曲が流れ、聴いているこちらも血を流し続けながら
戦い続けるような感覚になります。

個人的にはこのアルバムで一気に化けた感があり、これ以降フェイバリット
バンドになりました。

そして、このバンドも解散してしまいました･･･。

なお、日本盤はボーナストラックの挿入場所がおかしく、アルバムの
流れがめちゃくちゃになっています。ご注意下さい。
