   前作『B-2ユニット』で表現されていた、1980年代ニューウェーヴの（どこにも出口が見つけられないような）ザラついた音像から一転、やわらかく、温かいイメージが充満したアルバム。メロディも非常に豊かで愛らしく、初期の作品のなかでは、もっとも聴きやすいポップ性を帯びていると言えるだろう。このあたり、「芸術作品としての革新性と、商業音楽としての大衆性」を彼なりに考えていたのかもしれない。また、この作品の前後から坂本がたびたび取り上げることになる「アジア」というモチーフも、顔を見せ始めている。（森 朋之）

前作の B-2 Unit と随分作風が違うと思います．詩がついた曲が多く，
1つを除いて詩は日本語です．東洋を意識しているのか，歌詞カードの
写真に，中国風の絵の前で，彼が中国風の服を着て，写っています．
最後の曲（猿の声とリズムのみ）を除いてどれも美しい旋律の曲です．
8, 9 曲に特に惹かれます．8 は地味で，単純な旋律の繰り返しですが，なかなかこの様な旋律は作れないと思います．妹に piano でこの旋律を弾いてもらいましたが，やはり美しかったです．9 は詩にも惹かれます．その当時の日本の音楽でこの様な詩を持った曲はあったのでしょうか？（中学生の頃，授業中にこの詩をノートに書いたりしていた思い出があります）．

「スナオ、サカモト」と糸井重里によるコピーのついた坂本龍一の3rdアルバム。
簡単なメロディ、歌声、パーカッション（太鼓などエスニックな物も使われている）などで構成されており、
いつもの技巧的なアレンジ・コードワークは廃されています。
湿地帯をぐっと低く潜行するような独特の雰囲気を持っていて
YMOのtechnodelicに近い印象です。

japanのtindrumあたりの雰囲気とも近い所があると思います。

シンセやコンピュータで凝ったアレンジがされたアルバムもいいですが
たまには「左うでの夢」のようなアルバムもいいものです。
結構、「はっ」とさせられます。

「Snakemanshow戦争反対」「Technodelic」などと同時期に発売されたアルバム。当時はYMOを中心としたサブカルチャーが最も盛り上がっていた時期。万人受けする音楽ではないが、東京発の音楽が最もポップカルチャー的な芸術性をおびていた時期の作品で、エイドリアンブリューの参加も興味深い。アナログ盤、アルファ盤CDも持っているが、ミディ盤は驚くほどリマスタリングが良い。中古のアルファ盤には手を出さない方が良い。
