HHallucinogen のセカンド・アルバム。 1st の Twisted よりもシブめに飛ばしてくれてます。抜群のカッコ良さに加え、快楽度はさらにアップ（当社比）。日本語に無理やり訳せば1stが「歪み」、こちらは「孤独な精神錯乱者」とでもなりましょうか。で、具体的にどう凄いかと言うと…、とにかくこのアルバムには、狂気が荒れ狂ってます。精神をかき乱す音が猛烈な一塊のエネルギーとなって襲ってきてついにはそれと一体化してしまい、自分というものが溶解し、魂が龍となって天に昇るようなイメージが見られるかもしれません。壮大さの中に飲み込まれて自分が自分ではなくなっている状態になれるかも。私にとって1stは「思い切って狂気の光の中に飛び込む不安と喜び」みたいなイメージですが、2ndは「飛び込んでみた狂気の中は闇でした、でも忘我の踊りの中で光と闇が大極図となって融合する」みたいな感じでした。さらに付け加えると、HallucinogenことSimon Posfordの表現する狂気の世界は、あくまでも「品のいい」狂気だと思います。決して不快ではない、どこか暖かみのあるような。

最近このCDを買いました。そしたら見事にどっぷりはまってしまいました。私が今まで聴いたゴアトラ関係の中ではこれが一番です。1stの「Twisted」も大傑作ですので是非聴いてみて下さい。私的には2曲目のSnakey　Shaker」が一押しです！

今までネットラジオだけで済ませていた私が『GMS』の『No Rules』と共に購入した初めてのサイトラ系CDです。
6曲目のGamma Goblins Part2が非常に印象に残っていたので購入しました。
サイケデリックトランスは聞き慣れてないと曲の区別が付きにくいですがこの曲は一発で判別出来るほど特徴的でかなりキました。

最初の会話と言いとにかく捻くれており徹底的にダークに決めています。
2曲目のSnakey Shakerは途中から三拍子になります。
三拍子のトランスって聞いた事なかったのでCDで初めて聞いた時非常に印象深かったです。
四拍子より一拍少ない訳ですからその中に音を詰め込まれており急かす様な曲調に何か掻き立てられる様に感じます。

他の曲も結構独特で起伏が激しいので上に挙げた『No Rules』より比較的聞きやすいです。
サイケデリックトランスに興味を持った人にまず聞いて貰いたい一枚です。
無論サイトラどっぷりな人にもこの独特な雰囲気はぜひ味わうべきです。
