84年に発売された全英ツアーのライブアルバムをリマスターし、収録曲を６曲追加して発売されたアルバムです。ＭＳＧのライブというと、コージーパウエルを伴った初来日時の「飛翔伝説」がありますが、「飛翔伝説」がバンド結成直後の荒々しさの残る若々しいサウンドだとしたら、こちらはバンドとしての一体感が出た成熟した大人のサウンドといえるでしょうか。またキーを下げたせいか、やや高音が不安定だったゲイリーバーデンのボーカルがサウンドに合致して聴き応えのあるものなっているのも特徴でしょうか。
また、演奏曲も「神」から「限りなき戦い」までの代表曲が収録されていますので、まさに初期ＭＳＧの集大成ともいえるライブアルバムになっています。

15では飛び入り参加したクラウスマイネ??「ドクタードクター」が聴けますのでファンもチェックされてはいかがでしょうか。

「限りなき戦い」をMSGの最高傑作と思う私は（黙示録も同じ位好きだが）当然、このライブも当然最高だと思います。欲を言えば２枚組のボリュームが欲しかったが、それを抜いてもよい出来である。曲もバンドとしてのまとまりも一番よかったと思う。収録曲は「限りなき戦い」がメインではあるが、以前の曲もアップテンポになり非常に聴きやすくなっている。蛇足ではあるがラストの「DOCTOR　DOCTOR」にはスコーピオンズのクラウスとルドルフが飛び入りしている。　それにしてもあらためてこの時代の曲は一番ゲイリー・バーデンに合ってる

選曲は、当時のほぼベストです。
他の方も書かれていますが、やはりテッド・マッケンナのドラムがひどすぎます。
スタジオ盤では何度も手直しされて気にはなりませんが、この盤ではリズム感無し。
無理に手数を多くしようとするとミスタッチの連発・・・
極端に後ノリなバスドラも左右非対称的で、聴くに耐えません。
主役マイケルのプレーが終始安定してすばらしいのでなおさら残念です。
やはりコージーの存在が大きかった・・・。
ボーカル陣では、デレクがゲイリーを上手くバックアップしており、好感が持てます。
ドクター・ドクターでクラウスが飛び入り参加していますが、彼が最も安心して聴けますね。
