オルタナの影響をもろに受けているような、
ハードでソリッドな曲で構成されたアルバム。
ギターは重く、ドラムも激しく、音圧も高いが
メロディーが美しいので嫌な印象は全く受けない。
☆アルバム全体も緩急に富み非常にしまった感じがあり、
「Viva La ~」以降のＤＡのアルバムに見られるような
緩慢さもない。一度、ＣＤをかけると息つく暇もなく
最後まで集中して聞けてしまう。ＤＡファンで
聞き逃している人がいたら、すごくおススメする。

最初聞いた感覚では当時のライブで定番だった#2と#14が聴きどころかなと思っていた。しかし聴き込むごとにその独特の世界観にはまる。前作や次作とは違う、どこか冷めた空気間が流れ、特にRIVERはまさに和製オルタナティブといった感じで、降谷はラップだけでなく囁く様なメロウなヴォーカルも一級品だと思う。またアルバム全体にAIRからの影響・憧れといったものが感じられる。BUZZ SONGSほどの即効性はないがアルバムとしての統一感があり、これをベストアルバムにあげるファンも多い。

　少々好みに合わない曲があったのと、ギターサウンドがワンパターンに聞こえる曲がいくつかあったので、好みと正当(?)な理由も含め、一個星を減らしてもらった。
　全体としては、4,5,6の様な大人しめのもの、12,14の様なノリのいい曲共に、一回聞いてしまえば、メロディーがかなり長いこと頭ン中に(いい意味で)染み付いて、離れようとしないところがいい。このアルバムではもう大々的にいろんなジャンルを試している。
　12は紆余曲折でこのアルバムの中で唯一聞いた事があり、当時小学生だったので懐かしく、他には特に6と14が好き。
