いまから約4年前にリリースされ、私もその発売直後に購入しましたが、このときの第一印象は、5作目にして前作とはうって変わった最高のポップ感、というものでした。個人的にはその前に発売されているアルバム『IMAGINATOR』や『THE SILENCE IS BROKEN』なども好きですが、本作では冒頭の「A GIRL LIKE THAT」から始まり、最高のテンションで一気に、爽快に聞かせてくれます。もちろん、ポップ一辺倒ではなく、合間に「SOMEONE LIKE YOU」などのバラードも差し挟んで、飽きさせない工夫も感じられます。ネルソン兄弟には、こういったピアノバラードも大変よく似合うと再認識しました。一度は対訳と一緒に聴いてみるのもお勧めです。また、ドライブミュージックにもぴったりで、私は四年経ったいまでも、ドライブ用のCDホルダーに常備し、携行しています。

リッキーネルソンの双子の息子、マシューとガナーのデュオによるアルバム。
５枚目になって、またデビュー当時のような魅力が戻ってきたカンジがした。
一時は、『IMAGINATOR』などヘヴィな路線に挑戦したアルバムも出していたが、
このアルバムにはそんな雰囲気は感じられない。
全面的にポップな曲で仕上がっている。

親しみやすく、明るく爽快で、洋楽を始めて聞く人にもおすすめしたい。

NELSONは日本ではあまり聞かないような気がするが、
容姿も日本人好みの美形で、
音楽的にも、BON　JOVIやエアロスミスといったバンドに
負けない曲もかなりあると思う。

個人的には「ガール・ライク・ザット」「レッツ・トーク・アバウト・ミー
」が特におすすめ。

爆発的ヒットとなったデビュー作「アフター・ザ・レイン」
を聴いて以来、実はネルソンはまったく聴いていなかったが、
（というより活動が続いていたこと自体知りませんでした）
たまたまアマゾンで検索して２作目以降を見つけたので
聴いてみようと思って購入しました。
デビュー・アルバムのイメージでは、

「ポップスよりのハードロック」という路線でしたが、
デビューから約１０年、ネルソンはいい意味で力を抜いた
ポップなアルバムを出していました。
それが本作の印象です。
デビューアルバムのサウンドを求める人には物足りない
かもしれませんが、ネルソン兄弟の美しいコーラスは
健在で、楽曲のよさもデビュー作にひけをとらないと

思います。ただサウンドがハードロック路線ではない、
という点は強調しておきます。
ハードなネルソンもポップなネルソンも私は好きです。
