このアルバムを一言で言うと
「ラルク　アン　シエル　の　表　」
だとおもいます。
ほとんどの曲がポップでキャッチーな曲が
多く、それでいてハイレベルの音楽性だと思います。
ただ、「forbidden lover」はラルクの裏な気がします。
ダークな曲で一般受けはなかなかされないかもしれませんが、
個人的にはいい曲だと思います。

「 Pieces　」は最後に入ってて嬉しかったです。
心の癒される曲なので、ぜひ聴いて欲しいです。

他にもハワイアンな曲、ＲＯＣＫな曲。

ラルクが今でも音楽界の第一線にいる事が納得出来る
アルバムです。

ラルクを友達にすすめられても、まずどのアルバムから聞き出せばいいのか迷ってる方にすかさずこの<ark>をすすめます。

２００１にリリースされた「クリックドシングルズベスト13」を初心者の方に勧める方のほうが今は多いかもしれませんけど、正直そのアルバムがそこまで初心者の興味をそそらすモノがあるでしょうか。ラルクに慣れてない方には殆どが同じのように聞こえてその感想はすすめた方がほしがってた程のにはならないと思います。けどこのアルバムは序盤に「forbidden lover」「Cradle」のような幻想的でラルク色に染まった楽曲があってはじめての方でも素直に「おぉ、すごいな」といえるんです。それにこれには他のどのアルバムよりも聞きやすい　tetsu風のポップな曲も沢山入ってて初心者でも耳に残ります。さらに、アルバムの進行中に本当に多彩な音が入ってくるので飽きないで最後まで「スラぁリ」ですよ。

もちろん、ラルクに親しい方やロック好きな方には物足りません。ダークな曲もあまりないですしね。だから五つ星には出来ませんけど、初心者には（音楽にたいした興味ない方でも）この「ark」が、ベストセレクト！！だと、僕は思います。

といった感じの本アルバム。rayと同時発売の代物だが、特にこちらのarkはクールでスッキリとした印象が大きい。HEVEN'S DRIVE、Driver's High、DIVE TO BRUE等 当時の名曲を惜しげ無くちりばめた豪華な曲目! 今の彼らとはまた違った良さがあり、昔とも違った良さがある。とにかくオススメな一枚。
