5.0 out of 5 stars 丁寧なギタープレイと楽曲に好感が持てる作品, 2004/4/15
リーダーであるジョニー・ウリーンがイングヴェイから多大な影響を受けている為、楽曲もかなりRisingForceに近い路線になっています。
彼のギターは正統派ネオクラシカルですが、イングヴェイと比べると、緻密に構築されたフレーズを丁寧に弾くタイプの様です。

楽曲も良く練られた佳曲ばかりで、「See Them Fall」のギターソロの美しさには心を奪われます。イングヴェイが好きな方なら「Nation」は気に入るでしょうし、壮大なスケールのバラード「Love Will Return」はＡＯＲファンの方にもアピールするでしょう。
個人的には、イングヴェイの「Heaven Tonight」や「Teaser」を思わせる「You'll See」が気に入ってます。８０年代だったら、ヒットしていたかも知れません。

演奏・楽曲・プロダクション全てが丁寧に構築された、良い作品です。

デビュー・アルバム｢CHASED BY TIME｣における少々ポップな北欧メタル・サウンドが大好評だったNATIONの2ndアルバム。

本作も基本路線は前作と変わらず、質の面で大幅に進歩するという理想的な展開を見せている。
中でもオープニングを飾るファスト・ネオ・クラシカル・チューン"See them fall"のインパクトは凄まじい。

｢美麗｣という言葉がふさわしい目くるめく展開は、ROYAL HUNTのサウンドなどを愛でるファンならば必ずや最高の感動を得られるだろう。

ジョニー・ウリーン(G)のプレイも白眉。
イングヴェイ直系の確実なネオ・クラシカル・プレイは楽曲を一段階上に押し上げることに成功している。

"See them fall"のインパクトを最後まで超えないことにもどかしさは感じるものの、素晴らしいアルバムであることは間違いない。

実は一度中古で販売してしまったのですが
また聞きたくなって、この前購入しました。

やはりいいですね........久々に聞いたのですが。

ボーカルもこれぞ北欧メタルって感じですし、でも
北欧メタルボーカルってなんでこういった風に聞こえるんでしょうか？
ナマリってやつですかね？

内容に関してですが、インギー路線であることは間違いないです。
（個人的にインギーは大嫌いですが）
しかし構成力に関しては群を抜いて良いです！！
絶対におすすめです。
