　グロスマンの最大の魅力は、逞しいトーンにある。グロスマンと同世代のプレイヤーの多くが、メタリックなトーンを持っているのに対して、グロスマンのトーンは太く暖かい。このトーンを聞くだけで至福である。
　このアルバムは、故ミッシェル・ペトルチアーニを向かえて、スタンダード中心をに、たっぷりとグロスマンのテナーを堪能できる。ペトルチアーニも好演しており、素晴らしい出来である。一曲目の「Ebb Tide」から、最後まで存分に楽しむことが出来る。ゆったりと深夜に聴きたいタイプのジャズだ。

Steve Grossman（サックス）とMichel Petrucciani（ピアノ）のデュオ。このCDでSteve Grossmanを初めて聴きましたが、とても印象的なパフォーマンスです。2人のコラボレーションもとてもスムース。夜くつろぐ時にシットリと聴きたいCD。ちなみにこれがPetrucciani最後のCDだそうです。
