このアルバムは、誰が聴いても必ず気に入る曲でいっぱいです。
１つ１つバラエティがあって、どの曲からも感情が伝わってきます。
ちなみに私のおすすめはもちろん、聴くととっても元気になれるタイトルチュ-ンの『ギターマン』です。

1曲目の｢ギターマン｣。とにかく彼らはギターマン。ストリートライブから始まった彼らの思いがストレートに表現されていて気持ちの良い曲です。2曲目の｢be there｣は山崎製パンのCMで流れてました。全部英詩です。歌詞がとってもいいんです。｢ひまわりのうた（柏Street Live ver.)｣はすごくあったかい曲。心を込めて弾き、心を込めて歌っているので歌詞ひとつひとつが身に染みて伝わります。｢旅路｣もいいですね。受験で気落ちしているあなた、聴いてください。その他、シングルの｢うそつき｣｢あいのうた｣などボリューム満点！最高です。

　名盤です。スルメみたいに後から後から聴けば聴くほど味の出てくる一枚。タイトルナンバーの『ギターマン』は本当にギターの力を感じさせてくれるし、微かなメロディやコーラスの変化なのに留まることなく豊かになっていく展開、Ｃメロは痺れる。二曲目『be there』に至っては必聴。ラストの『旅路』は明日を想って寝る前にでも。
　このアルバムに収録されている頃のシングルはやけに暗い印象なのが謎。代わりに『ギターマン』などのアルバムのみの方の収録曲をシングルにしていれば、もう少し Something Else の音楽活動の未来は明るかったかもしれません。
