まさに傑作！普段は激しいスピードメタルしか聴かない僕がメロディアス・ハードというジャンルをこんなに聴きこんだのは初めてです！ロックを聴くという人はもちろん、POPとかバラードしか聴かないという人もだまされたと思って聴いてみなさい！これぞ歴史に残るアルバムだ！

FairWarningはこのアルバムで一気に成長したなーという印象があります。
彼らのそれぞれの特徴が完璧にかみ合った素晴らしい曲ばっかり。

1.Angels Of HeavenはTommy Heartが情感豊かに歌い上げ、Helge Engelkeのスカイギターのメロディが冴える名曲。続く2.Save Meもやっぱりイイ!!Tommy Heartの歌唱力、そして作曲陣の能力の高さが計り知れる一曲。

前半が強力なだけに中盤~終盤が印象薄だが、11.Sailing Homeは彼ららしいハードでいてメロディがキャッチーな曲である。
このアルバムはメロディアスハードの入門盤としてもオススメします。それくらい聴きやすいし純粋にカッコイイと思える曲が多いです。

前作｢RAINMAKER｣が日本で10万枚以上のセールスをあげ、すっかりBIG IN JAPANとしての地位が定着したFAIR WARNING。
本作は'97年にリリースされた彼の3作目だ。

叙情的なメロディの表現を第一義としたハード･ロック･サウンドは健在で、本作はメロディの質にさらに気を配ったことが見て取れる。
頭4曲の流れは白眉。

胸を締め付けるようなVoメロディと希望的メロディのギター・ソロとの対比が絶妙な"Angels of heaven"、
伸びやかなメロディがトミー・ハート(Vo)の実力をこれ以上無い形で知らしめてくれる"Save me"、
アンディ・マレツェク(G)の感動的なソロが堪能できる"All on your on"、
ポジティヴなメロディにほのかに漂う哀愁がたまらない"I'll be there"。

これは並みのバンドには作れない。

アルバムの後半に進むと曲の質が落ちるのと、録音レベルが以上に高く再生音量を大きくするとすぐに音が割れるのが難点かな。
でも名作に変わりはない。

メロディアスなのが不満ならFAIR WARNINGなんか聴かなければいいのに。
