その場にいられなかったのが残念！日本ジャズにとっても歴史的なライブを収録しています。グルーシン、スティーブガッドなどサイドメンも充実のラインナップ。こんなメンバーそろえられるのは貞夫さんしかいない！さらにストリングスがバックを盛り上げます。心地よく吹きまくる貞夫さんの最高傑作です！

当時の世界最高といって良い豪華メンバーを従えて、正に神業
のような名演を聴かせてくれるライブです。米国でもほぼ同時
にリリースされ、ジャズ・フュージョン部門ではかなりのヒット
を飛ばしたと記憶してます。以前のCDでは何故か２曲目の
「ムズーリ」が削除されており個人的に激怒しましたが、今回は
完全版です。ほんと、かっこ良いですよ！

しまったコンサートに行けなかったと思った時は既に遅く、これが最初にレコードで逆輸入（そうしてたよね？　笑）してくるのをずっと待ちました。素晴らしいコンサート、素晴らしいアーティスト達。ああ、これで日本人も世界の中で格がぐっと上がったぞと鼻高々でしたね。何回聴いても素晴らしく今聴いてもさらに素晴らしいもの凄い傑作ライブ盤なのだ。デイブグルーシンのもと、フルオーケストラバックで、おお、リチャードティがいるぞ、エリックゲイルもだ、アンソニージャクソンだ！　スティーブガッドがすんごい燃えてるぞ！　ラルフマクドナルドがいる！　ジェフミロノフがしぶ~くバッキングで、ジョンファディス（！）がただソロとらないでハイノート飛ばしている超豪華版！！　最近貞夫さんが好きになったファンの方でまだ聴いてなければこれを要チェック。いやあ、みんな燃えたぎったソロとってくれてさいこ~です。ただし！　ムズーリが加わって良かったとぬか喜びはいけません。エリックゲイルのソロがカットされてるぞ！　なんとかならないですか？　あれ空で覚えているほどかっこいいフレーズがいっぱいだったんですが。（涙）
