昨年1年休養していたため,オリジナル・アルバムは2年ぶり。一言でいえば,徳永らしい作品だろうか。さすが本人も周りを固めるミュージシャンもベテランなので,ソツなく綺麗にまとまっている。ちょっと地味かなとも思うが,それも芸風のひとつか。

ポップな曲、優しい曲、力強い曲がバランス良く詰まっていると思います。
相変わらず彼らしいバラードが健在ですが、色んな歌い方で明確な違いが出せるあたりさすがだなと感じました。
M3,M9等は少し昔の徳永を思い出させるキャッチーな曲調。

「INTRO.2」でいわゆるPOPのためのPOPソングに別れを告げた徳永が、「Nostalgia」から「太陽の少年」「bless」と、大きくその振り子の幅を広げた後に辿り着いた境地。「Nostalgia」のダークさと、「太陽~」「bless」の高揚感が共存しており、かつて“精一杯生きた思いもないし、死ぬような思いもしたことがない”と語っていた本人が、内と外からの精神的ストレスを経験したことで、よりその言葉にリアルに迫ることになった。まさしく「生きること」をPOPテイストの下に潜ませた名盤である。"

個人的に、このアルバムまでは彼の大ファンでした。
透明感のある声、独特の詞の世界観、そして曲の良さ、
ＨＯＮＥＳＴＯはそのすべてが揃った最高のアルバム
だと思います。
特に「翼の勇気」は大好きです。愛だの恋だのという
ではない、自分を励ますような詞と優しいメロディが
心にしみて、ライブでは泣きながら聴いていた気が･･･。
今でも自信をなくしたときには聴きたくなります。

確かこの作品の後大病を患ってお休みに入ったような･･･。
残念ながら復帰後の楽曲については、あまり心惹かれる
メロディがないので（私の好みが変わっただけなのかな）
ＣＤは購入していませんが、このアルバムの曲も含め
過去の曲は今でも大好きです。
またこんな会心のアルバムを作ってほしいな。
