84年の発表の3rd。

彼らの音は、ある意味で80年代の音楽要素のあらゆるエッセンスを持っているとも言えると思う。というのは、一口にジャンルを絞るのが、とても難しいからだ。多分にニューウェイヴの香りはするのたが、それにしては実にカラフル(ファンカ･ラティーナ的ともいえる)だし、その中に、もちろんネオアコ的な起伏に飛んだメロディ展開もある。またエレポップ、ダンス的なビート感も強い。そのようにさまざまなジャンルの要素が、それぞれしっかりと際立ちながら、絶妙のバランスで成り立っているのが、この「ディスロケーション(脱臼)ダンス」の鳴らす音である。

この3rdは、彼らのアルバムの中でも、特にカラフルな彩を持ったアルバムで、メインボーカルは、キャサリンとイアンの男女両刀使いで、曲によってメリハリを生み出している。またストリングスやトランペットなどを豪華に使用し、ビート感を保ちつつ、独特の優美な世界観を描き出すことに成功している。この辺りは、まさに曲構成や展開はニューウェイヴでありながら、色彩の多さがとても新鮮な印象をもたらすだろう。結構、見過ごされがちなバンドだと思うが、本当にこの時代において一種独特のポップ性を見せ付けてくれたバンドだと思う。
なお、トランペットのアンディは、その後、ペイル･ファウンテンズに加入し、やはり吹きまくっている。
