とても完成度の高いアルバムです。

大体アルバムと言えばシングル曲を中心に構成されていて
アルバム曲はシングル曲に見劣りしてしまい、メロディー
や聴き易さ等の点から見ても目立たないという印象があります。

しかしこの作品は所謂そういった価値観を変えてしまう程の
インパクトを持っていますね。
一気に聴き通せてしまいます。しかも個々の楽曲がしっかり
独自の世界観を持っていて、アルバム曲として作られた感が
出ていません。

ロックの歴史に残る作品と断言しても言いアルバムです！

乱暴な言い方をすれば、飛ばしたくなるようなトラックは無い。ヒット曲やちょっと目立った曲はあるものの、基本的にどれか一つが飛びぬけているという感じではない。人それぞれで自分の好きな曲が様々になるようなアルバムではないかと思う。それほど一曲一曲が充実している。サウンドとしては、前作より少し静かな曲が増えたように感じるが、けっしてパワーダウンしたというような印象は無い。「スカーティッシュ」なども比較的静かだが退屈するようなものでもなく、これはそのほかの同様な感じの曲にも言えることである。それはこのアルバムの静と動のバランスの良さがそうさせているのかもしれない。

なかなか厳しい意見がたくさん‥昔から好きな人はやっぱ最初聴いたときびっくり＆がっかりしますよね(;^v^)
もちろん昔のバッキバキのファンキーなのがかっこいいですが、フリーが言う通り、生きている限り変化し続ける事はとても大切ですよね。大衆が好みに合わせて同じものをつくり続けるのは簡単ですが、これだけの大物が潔く皮を脱ぎ捨てたのには脱帽です。このアルバムが受けいられなかった人は、レッチリとはそこでおさらばなのかな。逆に今も昔も受け入れた人は、もう一生ついてく覚悟でレッチリ愛しちゃってんでしょう(笑)
私は精神的な面も含めてこのアルバムはすごい感動したので、もちろん後者です。
