　3rdの「Sunrise In The Dreamland」に至る過渡期的な作品で、音質の悪さなども見受けられますが、楽曲のバラエティ、質の高さなど、かなりのハイレベルにある作品です。
オープニングの「Behind The Mask」でのキャッチーなコーラス、ロックアンセムなタイトル曲「King Of The Steely Nation」、切ないバラード、「Burning Down」などのキラーチューンの他、捨て曲のない、スリリングな構成は、この頃から光っていました。
このバンドは、楽曲の良さとヴォーカルの石原晶氏のハイトーンヴォーカルが特色です。しかしバックが、楽曲を壊さぬよう、弾き過ぎず、かつ、埋もれないプレイをしていることにも注目してもらいたいと思います。

　ただ体力に任せてドコドコとツーバスを走らせ、どこかから借りてきたような指癖速弾きフレーズを奏でるギターで茶を濁すバンドの多い中、メンバーが、各人の持ち場を心得ているバンドは非常に稀少価値ではないでしょうか。

「国産」「メロディックパワーメタル」などのカテゴライズで引く人もあるかもしれません。しかし、そうしたジャンルを超え、「いい楽曲」「良質のメロディ」がすべてを振り払ってくれるでしょう。
