最高傑作がこれ。サワーガールは名曲です。アメリカでは大変よくラジオでかかっていました。PVも幻想的でとても気に入っています。重低音なのでそれが好きじゃない人もいるかもしれないけれど、恋愛のテーマの歌詞が多いので女性でも聞けると思います。

分厚くぶっとい音に、縦のり横のりの気持の良いうねりを生み出す演奏、そしてセクシーで激しくてダンディーでポップな歌をこれでもかと見せつけるスコットウェイランド。しびれます。

　麻薬所持、麻薬使用で何度も捕まり、とうとうバンド仲間にも見放されたスコット（Vo.）。
　しかし、やはり作品は凄いです。
　「一流の詩人の人生は二流なのだ。」というどこかできいた、言葉を思い出してしまいました。
　
　この『NO.４』は、ストーン・テンプル・パイロッツ最高の作品としても名高いアルバムです。
　とにかく、かっこいい・・・。
　麻薬しても、ステージで網タイツはいても、裸でピアノ弾いてる写真雑誌に載せちゃっても、スコットはやはりかっこいいのです。
　ストーン・テンプル・パイロッツを語るには、『No,4』を聴くことなく語ることなかれ・・・。
