ジョン・ウェットンのライブは多すぎてどれを買おうかと思ってしまうが、音質、演奏、ジョンの歌の調子などどれをとってもこの作品が最高なのではないだろうか。アコースティック部分のジョンの叙情的なヴォイスは心に染み渡るし、ギターのデビッドも個人的にはステーブ・ハウ以降、ジョンと一緒に演奏した中では一番あっているのではないだろうか。クリスティ・ミッチェルも良いが、クリスティは陰があるような、やや暗めなトーンなのに対し、デビッドはブライトで美しいと感じる。好きずきではあるが、聞き比べてみるのも面白いと思う。In The Dead of Night のギターソロはオリジナルの完コピーにプラスアルファという感じ。Night Watch と、日本版のボーナストラックの　Suzanne　聞き終えるとファンなら感動するに違うない。良い曲だなーと改めて思うのである。
買って損はない１枚だ。

Little Featもそうだが、ライブ出す時にもう少しポリシーを持ってほしいアーチストがいる。
この人もその一人。のべつ幕なしライブ盤出している気がする。
しかもこうやって日本盤まで出るものもあれば、英国でもなかなか手に入らないものや
発売されていることすら怪しいものや、自分の公式HP限定CD-Rとか脈絡なさすぎ。
私は長い付き合いなので全部追っかけているが、面倒くさいことおびただしい。
それでオールマンブラザーズやディランのように毎回のコンサート内容ががらっと
変わるならともかく、大体やる曲は一緒では神経疑われますよ、本当に。
このアルバムは98年欧州ツアーだがバンド編成も一緒だし、珍しい曲やってるわけでもない。
あまり積極的にお勧めする理由はない。
彼のライブ盤はオールタイムベストみたいなものなので、どれ買っても代表曲はみんな入っている。
まあジャケット見て気に入ったらどうぞ、みたいな感じか。
それとジャケットに自分の写真使えるくらいには痩せなさいよ。

　’９９年発表のライヴ盤。これにもオフィシャル･ブートレグとして多くのライヴ盤が出ているが、本作は公式のライヴ盤だけに音質、構成ともに良好である。
　聴き所は、この時点で最新作であった’９７年発表の「Arkangel｣からの曲2､5､11で、ライヴの臨場感と相成って、オリジナル以上に印象的になっている。

　あとは、ほとんどがお馴染みの曲で、ほぼオリジナルに忠実で安定した演奏を披露している。
　いかにもベテランらしい、堅実な内容のライヴ盤だ。
