ELVISのキャリアを存分に楽しめるアルバム。
50年代、60年代、70年代別に選曲されていて
この１枚でそれぞれの年代を聞くことが出来るお勧め盤です。
年代別に大きく分けると
50年代の激しい歌い方で荒削りでワイルドです。
60年代のソフトな歌い方で甘い感じの歌声で魅了します。
70年代の力強く風格まで兼ね備えて完成された歌声と演奏です。

これだけの楽曲を集めるとなるとマニアでも大変ですが、
それを１枚で集約されているこのアルバムは決して損はないと思います。

　「好きとか嫌いとかじゃなくて、これしかなかったんだよねぇ・・・（笑顔）」と、福田先生。

　基本的に、ロックが市民権を得るきっかけになったのは、エルビスの登場があったからではなかろうか。必ず何処かで聴いた事があるという話は諸外国の話であり、日本においては「えっ！？」みたいな扱いをしている若年層が現状であろう。彼のロール（くねり）を知らないで、プロデューサーを名乗る人間も存在するぐらいアホな国、日本。そんな国なのねぇ・・・リアル・タイムで体験された方はシャイな方が多いらしく、年を重ねるごとに思い出にしてしまう傾向にある。「私も昔はねぇ・・・」が口癖だ。

　国民性の問題なのだろうか？風土の違いか？高度経済成長は生活を豊かにしてくれた代償に、私たち日本から「何か」を持って行ってしまったようだ。現在はその代償の利子を、やっと払い始めたに過ぎないと私は思っている。

　何が本物で、何が偽物かという選択を、「若いからいいんよ・・・」とか「一時のハシカみたいなモノだから・・・」なんて選択していると、とてつもないしっぺ返しにあう。じゃすらっくかわいそ・・・

　ロックと名の付く音楽を聴く人総てに、このアルバムを推薦します。このアルバムを聴いてリスナーの方々が、エルビスと仲間たちの熱い魂を感じとってほしいです。正直、私が生まれる前の録音だが、未だに体が勝手にくねり始めます（笑）。このノリが本物であり、偽物では感じとれないでしょう・・・ＭＩＢ

エルヴィスのロックで構成されたCD。
３０曲も収録されていてこの値段は安いです！
しかも５０年代~７０年代とセンスのある選曲でまんべんなく歌声が聞けます。　初めて彼を聞くひとにとってはエルヴィスの年代によって変化する彼の信じられないような音域の広さに驚愕するでしょう。

４曲目のシェイク・ラトル・アンド・ロールは、公式バージョンとは違いバックコーラスの方（？）の声が大きくフーチャーされている。
１７曲目のユー・アー・ザ・ボスは珍しい、他人とのデュエットが聴けます。お相手はアン・マーグレット。

しかし、ファンにとっては悲しいことがあります。
それは、最初から通して聴くと後半の、つまり２９~３０曲目は
麻薬と過度のストレスにより徐々に命の残り火を削ってゆく
エルヴィスの苦悩を感じ取れます。
頂点にいたため、対等な話相手がいなかったキング・・・
今でも悔やまれてなりません。
