夕焼け楽団ファン、トロピカル船長ファンにはお待ちかねのレイジーでファンキーなアルバム。
基本の味付けはニューオリンズＲ＆Ｂ、スラックキーＧやガース・ハドソンのプレイもてんこ盛り。
二人のヴォーカルと楽器演奏も味を出しまくって、崩れる寸前の絶品トロトロ角煮状態。

なんといっても久保田麻琴の唄ときたら２０年ぶり、うれしくて、うれしくて、まずひと興奮。

何回も何回も聞き込み当初の興奮が落ち着いてくると、
このアルバムが単なる２０年ぶりのアンコールでない事が判ってきます。

特に久保田麻琴のボーカルは夕焼け楽団での彼とはかなり違う磁力を発揮しています。

円熟、職人芸のサウンドの中で鋭い感性の新進シンガーソングライターが唄っているみたい。
オリジナル曲「マ!グノリア」とヴァン・モリソンのカバー曲「クレイジー・ラブ」での
手垢のついていない無垢な唄いっぷりは理屈抜きで心に染みます。
不覚にも落涙してしまいました。子守唄も素敵！なんて唄心なんでしょうか。

ＮＯキチガイ二人が好き放題に愛を確かめ合ったアルバム。細野晴臣(Harry)と久保田麻琴(Mac)という日本POPSの巨匠たちが童心に帰って楽しんでいるだけのアルバムだ。これくらいの巨匠になると遊びもすごい。

しかし、こんなにレイドバックしこんなにうねる音作りなのにルイジアナの湿地のイメージが全くない。あくまで日本人的にクリーンな音だ。そこに日本人という他者の目でしか愛せない哀しさと、意義とが見え隠れする。これが｢解釈｣というものか！
