ガンダムは人気作品ということもあり、多くの作品がオーケストラアレンジされているが、やはりこの「交響組曲Ｚガンダム」は他の追随を許さない。現代音楽家としても著名な三枝氏の繊細にして大胆な旋律、有無をいわさずＺの世界へ引き込む曲の構成、限りなくクラシックに近い傑作である。逆に言えば、少々古典に準拠しすぎのきらいがあり、星は一つ減らさせていただいたが、これも個人の好みであろう。原作ファンは、ハンカチの用意を忘れずに。

交響組曲と言っても特に大きなアレンジが加えられているわけでもなく、造作なく曲が並べてあるという印象。サントラ盤3枚を買うのが面倒だという人はこちらを買えばいいんじゃないでしょうか。お値段も手頃だし。
ちなみにジャケットがハリウッド映画ポスター風なのがちょっとカッコイイというか笑えるというか微妙なところです。

　これは結構いけますよ｡宇宙戦艦ヤマトがアニメ史上、最も音楽に力を入れた作品だと思うけど、これはそれに比肩するかもしれない。このアルバムは所謂「捨て曲（有っても無くてもいいような、飛ばしてしまうような曲）」も無い。特に最後の曲は恐らく誰が聞いても「綺麗だな・・・」と感じるのではなかろうか。愛のメロディーで、ピアノがメイン。シットリしたゼータのメインテーマだと言えば大体分かると思うんだけど・・・あれですよ、あれ｡
