☆の数を減らしたのは勿論楽曲を否定しているわけじゃない。選曲にちょっと違和感を感じたからだ。ファンリクエストによって並べられなのだから私も素直にならなければいけないのだろうが、ファンベストという所謂「裏ベスト」的側面を持っているはずの本アルバムにも関わらずシングル曲が半数近くを占めているのはちょっと悲しかった。しかし彼女のキャリア＆リリース枚数から考えてこうなってしまうのは仕方ないことなのだろう。思いきって両ベストとも２枚組にしてしまえば、このファンベストはアルバムから珠玉が網羅された真の「裏ベスト」になったのでは？と思う。

特にこういうアルバム選曲ベストに個人的願望でレビューすると個人的好み・主観がもろに左右されてしまうと思うが、例えば私は「二人の夏」「listen to me」「dangerouse tonight」「I want you」等を是が非でも入れたい衝動が出てくる。まぁこれはもろ個人的好みになるが、少なくとも「二人の夏」クラスの名曲が入っていないことに寂しさを感じた人もいたんじゃないだろうか？

とはいえ、楽曲自体の素晴らしさは言うまでも無い事は再度記しておきます。

マジで、大好きです泉水さん!特にこのアルバムが一番大好きです!ZARDの歌に何度となく支えられ、勇気をもらいました。自分的には全部好きですが、6曲目のOH MYLOVEが最高です!「ほら加速度つけて貴方を好きになる…もう友達のエリアはみ出した」でやられました。恋がしたくなりました。泉水さんがんばってください。

99年にリリースされ、300万枚を売り上げたベスト盤『ZARD BEST The Single Collection〜軌跡〜』に収録されなかったシングルやアルバムの隠れた名曲を集めたいわゆる『拾遺集』。こちらも150万枚の大ヒットとなりました。
ファンの投票によって決定された14曲なので、どれも人気の高い曲ばかり。
アニメ『ドラゴンボールGT』エンディング曲になった『Don't you see!』、人気ドラマの主題歌に起用された『君に逢いたくなったら…』、アニメ『中華一番!』オープニング曲『息もできない』、FIELD OF VIEWに詞を提供したミリオン・ヒット曲のセルフカバー『突然』、
アルバム収録曲ながらもファンの間で非常に人気の高い『あの微笑えみを忘れないで』『I still remember』『遠い日のNostalgia』など、非の打ち所のない選曲です。個人的には『ZARD BEST The Single Collection〜軌跡〜』より好きです。

40歳という若さでこの世を去られた坂井泉水さんに心からご冥福をお祈りいたします。

そして素晴らしい名曲たちを本当にありがとう
