ユーミンの曲をいろんなアーティストがそれぞれのこだわりを持ってカバーしたアルバム。 １０人のアーティストがそれぞれカバーしてるのですが、その中で私が特にオススメするのが、椎名林檎が歌う「翳りゆく部屋」 もう、林檎嬢独特の歌い方が曲とマッチしてなんともいえない感動を覚えました。（そしてすっかり私は林檎嬢ファンにもなってしまいました。）

ぜひぜひ一度聴いてみて下さい。

カバーというと、無理のある場合もあったりしますが
参加アーティストの顔ぶれが個性的だったので、興味を持って
聴いてみたんですが、すごく良かったです。
それぞれの個性で歌っていて、それが全て雰囲気が出ていて
良い感じです。
特に、松崎ナオさんの刹那的な歌い方には引き込まれたし、
露崎春女も、自分の持ち歌かのように素敵でした。

椎名林檎も独特で、ユーミンの歌ではないかのように、
自分の歌にしてしまっていて、すごく雰囲気があって良かったです。

オマージュするアーティストをカバーするオムニバスアルバムを作るときには、良くも悪くもカバーする側のアーティストの個性が発揮されていなければ意味がないと思うし、面白さに欠けると思う。。
そういった意味で、このアルバムは人選、選曲もなかなかおもしろく、曲とアーティストとマッチしたものになっている。
特に

オリジナルは、アップテンポだったのに対し、松崎ナオがけだるく歌いあげる
４曲目　情熱に届かない~Don’t Let Me Go
林檎節で、熱唱してみせる椎名林檎の
８曲目　翳りゆく部屋
が、聴き応えある曲に仕上がっている。
どの曲も、カバーされてもその曲の持つイメージが壊されることがないというのは、松任谷由美の歌づくりの巧みさを証明しているのではないか。
