ファンの間での評判はいま一つ、電気本人たちによっても否定されてしまった不遇のアルバム。スコーンと「バカ」に突き抜けられず、やや本気入ったネガティブな歌詞も不人気の原因なのかもしれない。けれど、　バイト先では病気がち　天気が悪いと休みがち　受話器を片手に演技して　そのまま布団に逆戻りこのだめ~な感じが個人的にはとても好きだ！　あと言われるほどサウンド的には悪くない。

『VITAMIN』や『DRAGON』と比べると電気らしくないなんて言う人がいるけど、このアルバムの方がむしろ電気GROOVEの元々の芸風とも言える。
それは『UFO』や『カラテカ』、前身バンド『人生』の音源を聴けばわかる。

『VITAMIN』→『DRAGON』でテクノに開眼。その路線を押し進めて来ると思いきや、原点回帰したかのようなこのアルバム。
サウンド重視の路線から、ここでは言葉にスポットが当たっている。
元々電気GROOVEはラップをやっていた時代もあり、そのナンセンスな言語感覚が初期の彼らの武器だった。
テーマはなんともいえないわびしさや不条理でブラックな笑い。
シングルの「誰だ！」が分かりやすい。あのノリの歌詞がアルバム一枚続く。
彼らは随分メジャーになったけど、元々ナゴム出身で筋肉少女帯やたまの同期だし、そこら辺は業の深さを感じさせる。

一曲目から結構キテる。
中山美穂の「ツイてるねノッてるね」のパロディだと思うんだけど、
♪ツイてねぇ！こんなハズじゃなかった。
　ツいてるはずが無えからもちろんノッてるわけも無え！！
♪ママケ〜キ〜

電気グルーヴがすきなんで、星５つあげたいのですが、普遍性などをかんがえて、４つにしました。「VITAMIN」「DORAGON」は「KARATEKA」「フラッシュパパメンソール」などからがらっとかわってかっこよくなったかなーとおもいきや少し戻ったかなーといったかんじ。たぶん不健康そうな歌詞が影響なんだとおもうが、非常にユニークです。聴く価値はある。なお、その他の電気グルーヴのＣＤもかなりおすすめです。

前にもあったような感じですが、初めて電気のCDを聞くのはお勧めできないでしょう。これを聞いて「電気ってこんなんか」と思ってしまわれると悲しいですしね。
