最初Piecesの詩を見たときに涙が止まりませんでした。
「泣かないで泣かないで大切な瞳よ　
悲しさにつまずいても真実を見ていてね。
そのままのあなたでいてね」
失恋中にこの曲を聴いて少し傷つきながらも
好きだった人には
「悲しさにつまずいても真実を見ていてね。
そのままのあなたでいてね」
と思えるようになれるような気がしました。
テツのバラードもハイドの歌詞もとてもよくマッチしていて、
ハイドの切ない歌い方に心を打たれました。

ラルクのシングルにしてはめずらしくフェード・アウトしてますね。アレンジがなんとも最高です。アルバム・ヴァージョンと聞き比べてもいいですね。あと僕がなんといっても気に入ったのはジャケットです！最高！

Piecesは文句無しの、誰の心にもしみるバラード。
fate -fake fate mix-は、ectomorphed works収録のバージョンとはまた違った雰囲気なので、c/wも聴き応えがあります。シンセの低音がかっこいいです。
