９・１１当時アメリカ国内で自粛対象曲となったのはジョン・レノンの「イマジン」そしてＲＡＴＭ「全曲」。ブッシュ政権下ではテロリストの詩として規制の対象にされてきた。真実を謳い始めたとたん自由の名のもとに弾圧されたバンド、歪んだ強国アメリカが生んだ一点の曇りもない鋭いナイフのような存在。

1st、2ndが好きな人には不評なアルバム。
たしかに荒さがなくなり、ポップでキャッチーなメタルになってしまったが、トムの変態ギタープレイが炸裂しまくってて凄いことになっている。ヘヴィにうねるベースもカッコよく、ザックのラップも切れ味を増してたたみかけてくる。ラップメタルは彼らだけで十分です。

RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINEのアルバムの中では、個人的にはこのアルバムが一番好きです。聴く回数も一番多いし。
「激しさがなくなった」と一部の人達には不評のようですが、相変わらずベースはうなるしギターもトリッキーだしで、かっこいい楽曲が揃ってると思います。結構聴き易いので、いまだにドライブに爆音でかけてますね。
ほとんどの曲が好きだけど、特にお勧めはM1,M2,M6,M11あたりかな。
