   この曲が登場する数年前からロンドンやその近辺ではレイヴ・ダンス・パーティーが一大現象となっていた。しかし、一時的なブームが純然たるムーヴメントへと変わったのは、やはり「Born Slippy」がきっかけだった。映画『トレインスポッティング』のサウンドトラックに収録されたことで、この曲の影響力は増し、さらに幅広い層に受け入れられたが、結果的に、さほど重要とも思えないエレクトニック・ミュージックをやるフォロワーたちの参入を招いただけで終わってしまった。

   この曲は、たまらなく魅力的なリズム感覚に、独創的なヴォーカル、ループし続けるファジーでルーズな抑揚感をうまく盛りこんだもの。皆が踊っているのを横目で見てばかりの恥ずかしがり屋さんたちも、思わずダンス・フロアに出て行きたくなることうけあいだ。その影響力は絶大で、これ以上のエレクトロニカをつくり出すことはまず無理と主張する者もいたほど。その意見には議論の余地もあるが、「Born Slippy」がエレクトロニック・ミュージックの影響をあらゆる分野に渡り天文学的といっていい規模にまで広めたことによって、初めて「エレクトロニカ」というジャンル・コンセプトが確立したという点は認識しておいてよい。実際、この曲はすでに古典的名曲となっている。（Matthew Cooke, Amazon.com）

　１〜３曲目までは名曲「ボーン・スリッピー」のミックスでそれぞれ感じが違って、いろんな聴き方が出来ると思いますね。
　たとえば、１曲目のイントロで朝目覚めたい。起きあがって踊りたくなります。午後に２曲目で、おおきな木の下で踊ろうかなと思って、３曲目は夜に、一人で部屋暗くして、やっぱり踊ります。独りよがりの解釈ですが、こういう聴き方もアリだと思います。
　あと、３、４曲目はアンソロジー盤にも入っているどちらも必聴の名曲で、６、７、８曲目はオリジナルアルバム未発表曲です。
　絶対買っても損はないと思います。
