過激なパフォーマンスから、ニューヨークのピストルズといわれていたバンド、デッドボーイズのセカンドアルバム。１STでは、ステゥージスやジョニーサンダースの影響を受けた攻撃的なサウンドだったが２ndでは、ブリティシュビートに影響をうけたようなキラキラした曲が多くパンクというより、パワーポップといった感じ。STONESのカバーTELL ME は絶品！！

初めて聴いたとき、あまりにもポップで、これパンクバンド？と思ったんですが、何か当時のニューヨークパンクっぽくなくて気に入ってます。
英語がわからないとイマイチ理解できない他のバンドと比べ、グッドです。

この後ボーカルは、シャム69と組んだり、ﾀﾞﾑドのＧ，ブライアンジェームスとバンド結成したりと活動しますが１０年位前、交通事故で亡くなりました。

Adults they’re afraid of me, cause we’re down to kill
Nothing’s new or hasn’t been said, it’s all been done before（「3RD GENERATION NATION」より）
タイトル通り、俺達はやって来たと自嘲的に宣言する様な「3RD GENERATION NATION」で始まるこのアルバム。まさに反逆のカリスマ、いや問題児達という印象だが
Now I’ve gone and lost their scene
The only time I see them’s in a dream
But I won’t look back （「I WON’T LOOK BACK」より）
後ろなんか振り返らないといった強がりそれを覆う様な激しく熱い情熱がある気がします。特に軽い哀愁を漂わせながら駆け抜けていく様で小刻みなビートに乗ったギターのジミー・ゼロが書いた「I WON’T LOOK BACK」は情熱の痛みとその熱意が最も感じられて躍動感と共に聴ける様でとても好きな歌です。
そしてスティヴ・ベイターの詞はどの歌でも何か強く否定する様な、それでいて決して負けないという様な気持ちがが多く、哀しげでもある。生と死の間を行き来する様に。

やるせなさとそれに抵抗する意志に溢れている。
I just wanna have some fun, I just wanna live in sin （「I DON’T WANNA BE NO CATHOLIC BOY」より）
これは自分の少年時代の体験を歌っている様な歌で、ここでも周りへの抵抗と自らの溢れる意志が漲っている。ちなみにジョーイ・ラモーンとディー・ディー・ラモーンがこの曲にバックコーラスで参加している。
