このアルバムは決して録音がベストではない。電源ノイズがバックでぼよぼよーんとなってるし。。。それでも当時ＬＰ２枚組みなのにかってしまってまた年寄ってＣＤで買ってしまった。７０年代初頭のブリティッシュロックとはどんなだったかを一枚で語るとしたらこんな感じになると思う。次がどんな曲展開になるかわからんある意味でクイーンの曲展開を連想する。（そんなハーモニーもちらっとでてくる。）ドライブの利いたロックンロールに重いＥＬＰのようなプログレでコーティングしたような演奏。メリハリのきいた高音のとても伸びのあるボーカルとハーモニーでバラードもとっても美しい。メロトロンも大活躍。当時単音しか出なかったシンセもＥＬＰみたいにうっとおしくない。

'74 リリースのライヴアルバム。ソニー系列のリイシューレーベルからのリリースです。
Argent はデビュー当時は R&B だったのが、最後にはプログレと呼ばれるようになってしまったというグループですが、このアルバムは、プログレと呼ばれていた時期のアルバムです。

[1]（邦題：コホーテク彗星の来襲）は、前半はキーボードが縦横無尽に飛び回り ELP のような緊張感のある曲ですが、途中で流れるようなギターのフレーズが現れると、モロ Camel の世界に、、、、けど、アージェントのプログレっぽい面が凝縮された曲で、このアルバムではいちばんの聞き所だと思います。
[2]~[5] はラス・バラードの曲で、骨っぽい R&R ですが、[3] はロッド・アージェントのキーボードソロが入ると違和感はありませんが、プログレっぽい世界になります。そういう２面性が良いのですが。
[7] は一転してピアノの弾き語りでコーラスも美しい曲ですが、ラス・バラードの曲です。
[8] [10] も歌部分は R&B、キーボードのソロになるとスペーシー(?)、というアージェントっぽい曲です。
[9] はノリの良い R&R です。リック・デリンジャーかいな、という気合の入った歌声です。
[11] はロッドアージェントが在籍していたゾンビーズのヒット曲（邦題：二人のシーズン）ですが、イントロや間奏はアージェントの世界です。歌部分も複雑なリズムでちょっと重た目になってます。

[4] は Kiss が '92 に、[7] は America が '80 に演ってます。
[5] は 2'40" 付近で、マイクに何かぶつけたようなボコッという音がしているけど、これは CD 化の際のノイズです。ジャケットも変な縁取りがされてしまってますので、両方で１点減点しました。
