ズナフ９作目に当たる本作は、ズナフ節が炸裂している作品だ。
彼らの決して明るくなりきれないポップな楽曲は聴くものをぐいぐい引き込んでいく。ヴォーカルのドニーの声質も楽曲に特別な魅力を引き出している。
特に３曲目の"ain't it funny"は最高だ。名曲と呼べる代物である。

本作が出るまえの数年間、彼らの発表する作品はライブやレア音源集といった企画モノばかりで、ファンは完全オリジナル新録アルバムを欲していた。そこに満を持して発表したのがこのアルバムだ。彼らの持ち味が分かりやすく提示されていて、個人的には大好きなアルバムだ。

現在までも固定の4人の鉄壁のアンサンブルには、往年のメタル色、派手さは影を潜めたが、ピュアなポップセンスが一層引き立ち、ビートルズ~チープ・トリックあたりに正当な後継者というステイタスを確固たるものにした感がある。

trk1,3あたりのフックの効いたＲ＆Ｒ、チープ・トリックのカヴァーtrk11も格好よいが、個人的には彼らならではの繊細なメロディをドニー・ヴィーのレノンばりのボーカルで聴かせるtrk7,12の美しさに心を奪わ!れた。
