John　Lennonの1980年のｲﾝﾀﾋﾞｭｰにはHungry　Heartを気に入っているとの
話が出てきます。　Born to run、 Darkness on the edge of town　の　ｻｳﾝﾄﾞｽﾀｲﾙからは、live的な録音方法に変えただけでなく、演奏をも50-60年代的にしていることが、USAのみならず欧州でも受け入れられたように思います。歌詞の部分ではﾎﾞﾌﾞﾃﾞｨﾗﾝ的として批評されてきたところは無くなり、吟遊詩人的な部分が広がり、「大人っぽさ」と「敢えて幼稚さを遊ぶ大人的発想」が交差してｱﾙﾊﾞﾑを広がりの持ったものにしています。　聞きなおす度に味が出てくる大傑作、Tracksで蔵出しされた未発表曲も最高です。MDでｱﾙﾊﾞﾑをLP4枚組に見立てて聞いています。

1980のなぜか暑かった秋の夕暮れ、国営FM局のDJ渋谷陽一氏の番組。いきなり始まったties that bindのshoutが今も耳に残っています。アメリカのロックンロールが夏の夜の花火のように輝いていたあの時代を象徴するアルバムです。どうでもいい曲が全くないこのアルバムの白眉はタイトル曲であることに異論はありませんが、２枚目の７~９曲目も深く心に染みます。

全２０曲という二枚組の大作ですが、最初から最後までＥストリートバンドのものすごいテンションで、あっという間に聴き終わってしまいます。
とりあえず、僕の中ではスプリングスティーンといえばこのアルバム！！
ほんとにものすごいアルバムです。
二枚組ですが値段も手ごろですし、聴いてみて絶対に損のないアルバムです！
ぜひ！！！
