クラシックがほとんど解らない (でも好き！) な私が、ちょくちょく聴きたくなるCDである。
本当に、素晴らしい。このCDを聴いていると、心が豊かになり、心地よくなる。辛い時、うまくいかないとき、そんな時にこのCDが1枚手元にあると無いとでは大きな差があるだろう。

第一巻BWV846-869が1970年夏、第二巻BWV870-893が1973年2月・8月・9月にレコーディングされている。録音技師はホルスト・リントナー、録音場所はなんとザルツブルクのクレスハイム宮殿である。このクレスハイム宮殿でレコーディングした、ということがこの演奏にすばらしい付加価値を与えていると思う。リヒテルの素直な解釈が宮殿の極上のエコーによって最高の演出になっている。録音技師ホルスト・リントナーの勝利である。（●＾o＾●）

甘美で柔らかなハ長調の前奏曲のアルペッジョに始まり、まるで天国で鳴っているような美しさである。ひたすらバッハの意図に忠実にという意志が感じられる。強いバッハだ。僕はこのリヒテルのバッハを極地点とし、グールドの自由な多種多様な解釈論の平均律をもうひとつの極地点としてバッハの宇宙を飛び回ることを何百回と繰り返してきた。このアルバムを手に入れたのは大学生の時で20有余年の時がたっている。未だあせることのない演奏である。

おそらくは多くの人が平均律の模範的演奏としてあげるであろう名演だ。

5.0 out of 5 stars 音楽の至宝　　若い人達に新鮮な気持ちで聴いて貰いたい, 2005/2/12
ﾋﾟｱﾉの詩人の手によるﾊﾞｯﾊ演奏、そのひとつの頂点を示す大作。
ｶｻﾞﾙｽの無伴奏、ｸﾞｰﾙﾄﾞのｺﾞﾙﾄﾞﾍﾞﾙｸﾞと並ぶﾊﾞｯﾊ器楽曲の三大至宝。
今更、若輩者がどうこう言う必要もないが、こういう作品をちゃんと
聴かせるFM番組などがもっとあってほしいもの。
CDｼｮｯﾌﾟでも新譜（含再発）に重点を置いたAirplayになりがちだし。
若い人がこんなにﾋｰﾘﾝｸﾞや癒しを求めてｱｺｰｽﾃｨｯｸな音に耳を傾ける現在
だからこそ、CLASSICや民俗音楽（BLUESや演歌等も含めて）は
広く静かにではあるが熱く厚く支持される可能性を孕んでいると思う。
今のﾓｰﾂｧﾙﾄ人気も、此処数年来のJAZZのPiano Trio人気も、
かかる文脈からすれば何ら不思議はない。ある意味で聴き手が渇望する
音楽を供給する側が如何に紹介し、更に進めて音楽に対する興味や関心
を広げ深めていけるか＝聴き手を育てていけるか。
真に音楽を愛する人達が供給する側に回って、そのﾐｽﾏｯﾁを解消して
いければ、CDだってまだまだ売れるような気がする。何故なら
本当に聴きたいと思う音楽は身近に置きたいし、価格も充分手が届く
ところまで下がってきているから。既得権や古い認識を捨てて
新しい世代の新しいﾘｽﾅｰ開拓にもっと注力していってほしいもの。
軽薄短小の消費音楽にも存在意義はあるが、若い人達もその限界を
既に見切っている気がする。
例え徒労に終わったように見えても、蒔いた種はいつか芽を吹くし、
種を蒔かねば世代交代も望めまい。20年前の町のﾚｺｰﾄﾞ屋や中古盤屋
の地道な努力を今こそ････！
