But Rocks captures Aerosmith at a crazily driven peak of creativity; anyone who heard it and continued to dismiss them as mere Stones clones was just being wilful. ７６年発売の４ｔｈアルバム　タイトルが示すようにメンバーの自信がみなぎる一枚、エアロの最高傑作と評する人も多いのですが・・・私はそうは思いません、確かに1BACK　IN　THE　SADDLEはライブのオープニングナンバーに最適な曲でライブで聞くと滅茶苦茶カッコイイ一曲でその他の曲もライブ映えするカッコイイ曲でアルバムの構成も文句無いのですが、アルバムで聞くとライブの迫力が半減して聴こえてしまうのが難点です。　このアルバムのコンセプトはライブでの迫力・臨場感をパッケージすることにあったと思うのですが、リアルタイムに聴いた人は衝撃を受けたと思いますが私みたいに後追いファン、ライブを聴いた後に購入した人は多少物足りなさを感じるかも知れません、でも最高傑作と評される様に７６年当時のエアロの最高傑作で今後このアルバム以上の傑作を産み続けているし、現在進行形のバンドなので更に凄いアルバムが産まれる可能性は充分にあると思う

今、騒がしているエアロスミスの復活前の最高傑作である。復活後にフアンになった人は、最初戸惑うかも知れないが、大丈夫。数回聴くとともに、絶対エアロマジックにかかっているはずだから。そして、多分このアルバムのとりこになる事間違いない。ジャケットにもあるように、ヘヴィ-な音が連なっているのを暗示しているが大丈夫だよ。。。エアロを信じてお買いなさい。おのずと道は、開かれるだろう!!!

１９７６年リリースの通算４作目・・・ジャックダグラスのぐしゃぐしゃプロデュースが最高に効果をあげているＬＩＶＥ感溢れるアルバム、名盤！！１曲目「バックインザサドル」のかっこよさにとにかく痺れます・・・ジョーペリーが弾く６弦ベースがこの曲のグルーヴ感を生み出していると思います。３０分少々と短いアルバムですが、とにかく曲がいい・・・人によって最高傑作は違うと思いますが、まさにこのアルバムは個人的に最高です！！ロックバンド然としたスタイルは、本当このバンドの普遍的な魅力・・・スティーヴンタイラーとジョーペリーのコンビネーションが、見事に機能しています！！５曲目「シックアズアドッグ」ではベースのトムハミルトンがギター、ジョーとスティーヴンがベースと言う珍し!!い編成です・・・結構いい感じに仕上がってます。９曲目スティーヴンのペンによるバラード「ホームトゥナイト」は、このバンドの底力を感じる名曲！！７０年代の素晴らしい傑作！！
