Das PHANTOM der OPER　ドイツ語のオペラ座の怪人。
ファントム役のPeter Hofmann氏はオペラの方だそうで。
重低音(このパートをこの低いキーで歌うのかとびっくりした部分あり)が良く響き、丁寧な歌い方で上手なのだと思います。
しかしなんというか堅苦しいキャラクターです。気難しいジジイです。
ファントムというと天才と××××は紙一重で泣いたり喚いたりするほうがイメージに合うので、
同じドイツ語で聞くのならウィーン版と言われているものや映画のドイツ語吹替えのほうがずっと楽しめました。

ファントム以外の人も歌は上手です。
特にラウルはなかなかに頼もしげで存在感があります。
しかしやはり、”舞台の芝居”として考えるとあまり良いものではないでしょう。
不思議なのが8曲目のBallet aus "Il Muto"
これがイル･ムートの芝居部分ではなくバレエのシーン方です。
カルロッタが蛙の声になってしまうくだりを削っておいてこの曲を入れることに何の意味があるのか疑問です。
