元SCORPIONSのウリ・ジョン・ロートの弟、ジーノ・ロー
ト(g)がリーダーのメロディアスHRバンド。FAIR WARNING
のウレ・リトゲン(b)が在籍していた事でも知られる。

特徴は色々あるのだが、まず真っ先に言うべきは、楽曲の
素晴らしいクオリティだろう。
マイケル・フレクシグ(vo)の驚異的な声域を活かした、
ダイナミックかつ叙情的なヴォーカルラインを中心として、
各メンバーが「よりドラマティックに、より美しく！」と
一体になって楽曲を盛り上げている。
FAIR WARNINGからPOP色を抜き、ドラマ性、叙情性を増した
ような音楽性、と言えばお判り頂けるか。

歌詞では、いわゆるラブソングは少なく、自然や神、天使
などを取り上げた「賛歌（アンセム）」的なものが多い。
特に後半の(7)~(10)の4曲は、哲学的でもあり、シンプル
な言葉の中に、人間・自然・神への普遍的な愛を歌い上げ
ている。どの曲もポジティブなエネルギーに満ちており、
聴くと心が洗われて、元気になること請け合い。

演奏面について。マイケルの超絶ハイトーン・ヴォイスが
バンドの色を決定的にしている。マイケル・キスクやトニ
ー・ハーネルとも違う、どこかユーモラスな個性的な声で、
ZENOのポジティブな音楽性に、見事にマッチしている。
リーダーであるZENOのギターは、粘っこく官能的なエロス
を感じるもので、ともすれば枯れすぎになりがちな音楽性
に、生命力をプラスしている。
ウレのベースは、FAIR WARNING時代よりもずっと生き生き
と自由自在に動き回るラインが魅力的で、2ndギターのよう
な存在感を示している。間違いなく、彼のベスト・プレイ。

結論。完璧で言うことのないアルバム。でも売れなかった。
あまりに素晴らし過ぎ、あまりに美し過ぎたために、当時
の大衆の理解を得られなかった。

まず僕がこのアルバムを買った理由というのはBURRN!という音楽雑誌のレビューで、９８点という信じられない高得点をたたき出していたからです。「じゃあ、いったいこれがどれくらいのもんかいな」と気になって買ってみたんです。しかし、これが長い間廃盤になっていてなかなか手に入らなかった（泣）。結局は中古のCDで手に入れました。さっそく買ったその日に聞いてびっくりしました。１曲目から１１曲目までの音楽的完成度が桁外れに高かったのです。音楽というより映画のようで曲と曲のつながりが完璧で、最後まで一気に聞かせます。それも大変美しい。「何でこのCDが廃盤になっていたのだろうか」と不思議に思います。是非、心ある音楽ファンなら、一度でもこの音楽世界に触れてみて感動してほしいと思い!ます。
