　６０年代から活躍してきた多くの大物ロック・バンドが、70年代半ばから次々失速していくなかで、トッド・ラングレンは逆に、ギアをハイ・トップへ入れ、グングン加速し始めた。この時期、ディスコグラフィーを確認してみると、年に２作ペースで、しかも捨て牌なしの傑作を量産している。しかも、70年代を通じて、コンスタントに製作し続けている。
　イチローではないが、1970年代の最多安打記録ロック･アーティストと呼んでもいいのでは？
　本作は、75年8月のライブを収めたもの。
　ロジャー・パウエルがシンセで加わり、より分厚いキーボード・サウンド、プログレ・ライクなサウンド･プロダクションになっている。好みはあろうが、ソロのマジカルでトリッキーな世界と明確に差異を付けたこの路線は正解だったと思う。

　一時期本作をものすごく聞きまくった時期があったほど大好きなセカンドライブ盤、次作の曲作りのための時間稼ぎでライブ盤を出すバンドは数多いが、本作は新曲が半分で、その新曲もファーストアルバムの勢いそのままの質の高い楽曲が収録されており、自身のソロと並行して楽曲を大量生産する非凡さに圧倒させられる。1曲目や3曲目の長めの曲やウエストサイド物語の曲などプログレからポップまで違和感なく楽曲が同居している。

７５年発表のトッド・ラングレン率いるユートピアの２枚目で、前半半分が新曲のライヴ・アルバム。Ｍ・フロッグラバットが抜けてロジャー・パウエルが参加した。初のフル・ライヴ・アルバム・・・と言うかスタジオ録音している暇がないほど曲がどんどん出来てくるからライヴで録音した、的な勢いを感じる。前作よりはコンパクトにまとめられ、後半にはソロ名義の有名曲も含まれるため比較的取っ付き易いかも。ブラスも導入され、その感触はちょっと違うかもしれないが、マハビシュヌ・オーケストラをも感じさせるような勢いを感じる１．はそんなもモロなフュージョンだが、トッドのヴォーカルが入ると一転してポップに聞こえるから不思議。２．はソフトかつメローな曲で、３．もトッドらしいポップな曲で演奏そのものはハードだが、ソロ名義で発表してもおかしくない曲だと思う。７．はＭＯＶＥの曲で、Ｅ．Ｌ．Ｏ．のバージョンも有名な人気曲。８．はユートピアのライヴでは定番で私もライヴでは最も感動した名曲中の名曲。
