Reissue of the second & final album by jazz rock group formed by Colosseum members John Hiseman & Mick Clarke after the demise of that band. Contains all of the cuts from when the Bronze label originally issued the record in 1974, including 'Stargazer', 'Dance To My Tune' and 'Paperback Writer'. Eight tracks total. Also features the original cover art. 1999 release.

個人的には１ｓｔよりもこの２ｎｄの方が好きです。
このアルバムは、あまり評価が良くないようですが不思議な気がします。
ギター、ベース、ドラムが三位一体となって襲ってくるようなバンドの一体感と直接的なロック色が１ｓｔよりも感じられます。
私はこのアルバムで演奏しているオリー・ハルソールのギターの方がアラン・ホールズワースよりフレーズが多様で、個々の曲にフィットしたフレーズを一気に噴出すように弾いているように感じて好きです。
ベースのマーク・クラークは、ギブソンＳＧベース特有のモコモコした音でギターと張り合った演奏をしています。ギターと張り合うといえばクリームのジャック・ブルースやフリーのアンディー・フレイザーもＳＧベースなので楽器を選択する上で、何か理由が有るのかもしれません。
また、マーク・クラークはユーライア・ヒープの「悪魔と魔法使い」の１曲目のみにも参加しています。
ドラムのジョン・ハイズマンは、このアルバムでは１ｓｔの手数の多い演奏とは異なりシンプルなリズムキープ主体のロックっぽい演奏をしているので、１ｓｔとはかなり違った印象をこのアルバムに与えることの大きな要因となっています。

１９７４年発表テンペストのセカンドアルバム・・・名盤です。このバンドの凄いところはファーストでアランホールズワース、セカンドでオリーハルソールという超絶ギタリストが在籍したと言う事・・・奇跡！！このアルバムではトリオ編成になっていますが、オリーが大活躍して音は厚く仕上がっています・・・キーボードもうまい！！オリーの超絶変態ギターが堪能出来る至福のアルバムです！！ビートルズのペイパーバックライターをハードにやってますよ。

１曲目からいきなりロックンロールで始まる楽しい一枚。ヘタウマで荒削りなギターがいい味出してます。しかもソロになると別人のような滑らかな高速フレーズの応酬が・・・まったく不思議なヒトです。全体的に明るくPOPで解りやすい内容ですがメンバは3人とも芸達者なのでプレーヤーの方にも参考になるのでは？
